Thanks for the article!Very useful
I started to work in company with offices in different cities and countries and I realized that Windows remote desktop isn't enough featured for professional work.
I discovered Logmein. It seems to me that it is the most recommended tool in IT sphere. And I wouldn't deny that fact. That worked always stable and had a nice set of features. But sometimes its price for professional version was unaffordable for me.
So I found several cost-effective alternatives for my work. Would recommend gotoassist or mikogo.
But my favorite remote desktop tool at the moment is Techinline.I've been working with Techinline long enough to understand that it is a very nice relation of price and reliability. This product has almost the same functions as many other professional tools on this market but price is much lower.
So would definitely recommend you to make a good search before paying:)

All are software or hosted solution. You may want to consider appliance-based approach: RHUB remote access appliance.
